Brads Big BBQ

Let’s soar together! Help me raise funds to keep the Flying Doctor flying.

Help keep the Flying Doctor flying! I’m raising funds so the Royal Flying Doctor Service can respond at a moment’s notice for people living, working, and travelling in remote, rural and regional areas in Australia.

Last year alone, the RFDS reached more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary health care. That’s one person every two minutes!

The Flying Doctor is always on call to help and save lives, and that’s why I’m asking you to chip in to and help the RFDS to provide the finest care to the furthest corner.

Go on. Please donate now towards my fundraiser, and let’s see how high our tally can fly. 21 January 2025, my husband Brad was driving ,towing our caravan,  2nd day into our 3 week holiday. On our way to Parkes NSw to see our families, grandson Jack and a stop in at Tamworth Country Music Festival to watch our son  Baeden Faint perform. 20 kms outside Mungingdi,  Brad is wondering how far to the nearest town, I ask why, he says he has a pain in his chest, after a few more questions , he confirms never felt a pain like this before, but ok to keep driving.. I call Mungingdi hospital speak to a lovely lady on the other end and relay B rads words to her ,  she gives us directions to the hospital and tells Brad to park the caravan out the front of hospital as plenty of room. We do this, staff are out front of hospital when we arrive, escort Brad in and begin testing etc. 45 minutes maybe Brad has heartattack inside Mungindi Hospital - it is determined by retrieval Team doctors Brad needs to be transferred to Brusbane RFDS come to Mungindi 1am in morning and fly him to Brisbane - 2 Stents in 1 artery later  and Brad's life is continuing.
